The best example of this is the development called Centrul Civic (the Civic Centre), including the Peoples House, where an entire historic quarter was razed to make way for Ceauşescu's megalomaniac constructions. We will guide you round the historical monuments, show you the communist, village and peasant museums and finally we take you decadent western capitalists outside of Bucuresti and down a Communist era punishment salt mine. |
